What to Expect from an Ultra-Long-Range Jet
Ultra-long-range jets such as the Gulfstream G650 and Bombardier Global series fly 6,000 to 7,700 nautical miles nonstop, which is up to 15 hours in the air. They are also the fastest business jets in service, cruising close to Mach 0.9.
Cabins have three or four living areas, a crew rest area, full-size beds and some of the quietest, lowest cabin altitudes available, which makes a big difference to how you feel after a long flight.
Best For
- Intercontinental nonstop trips, such as New York to Tokyo or Los Angeles to London
- Groups of up to 19 on very long legs
- Travelers who want the most space and comfort available
Keep in Mind
- These are the most expensive aircraft to charter. For flights under about seven hours, a heavy jet gives you almost the same cabin for less.

Ultra-Long-Range Jet Charter Questions
How much does it cost to charter an ultra-long-range jet?
Ultra-long-range jets typically run $11,500 to $20,000 per flight hour, and operators bill at least 4 hours for each day you fly. For example, Los Angeles to Aspen estimates at $49,500 to $86,500 one way before taxes and fees. Use the calculator above for your exact trip.
How far can an ultra-long-range jet fly nonstop?
Plan on about 6,000 nautical miles (6,905 statute miles) with passengers and fuel reserves. Winds, weather and airport altitude can reduce that.
What is an ultra-long-range jet?
A business jet that can fly 6,000 nautical miles or more nonstop, enough to link almost any two major cities in the world with at most one stop.
Can an ultra-long-range jet land in Aspen?
Some cannot. Aspen has a 95-foot wingspan limit, which rules out the Gulfstream G650 and Global 7500. The Global 6000 fits. We can plan a transfer through Eagle County instead.
